What Not To Do:

  • Do not eat cooked food: Food heated to temperatures above 116 degrees Fahrenheit is not allowed 100 percent raw diet.

  • Choose filtered or distilled water: Filtered or distilled water is the foundation of many meals, including dressings, smoothies and juices. It is also used to prepare walnut milk and to soak and germinate nuts, seeds and beans.

  • Buy Organic: When you eat raw food, you are exposed to these toxins. Even if you wash your produce very well, pesticides can still seep into the fruit or vegetable.

  • Keep nuts soaked. Nuts eaten on raw food should be soaked in filtered water, drain the water and dry it. Soaking them makes them more digestible and removes unheated bitterness.

  • Avoid certain foods: Animal products, including dairy and eggs, are not eaten on a raw diet. Use home-made nuts milk by fluffing the nuts with filtered water and flavoring.
